Cancer is a serious illness with a wide range of treatment options, from traditional Western medicine to alternative options. One aspect of treatment is to work in dietary items to fight against angiogenesis. Angiogenesis is the process in which cancer creates new blood vessels to help sustain it. And when you can stop or help block those blood vessels from forming, the idea is that you can help starve cancer, and at the very least, stop it from spreading.
Therefore, it’s incredibly important to ensure that you work foods into your diet that are anti-angiogenic, or, aiding to slow the growth in cancer or even shrink it. The best part about this is there are heavy duty drugs manufactured out there that also do this. The difference is, those manmade drugs often have deadly side effects. These foods do not have those deadly side effects.

Can We Eat to Starve Cancer?
Dr. William Li gave a fantastic talk on this subject in a TED Talk called, “Can We Eat to Starve Cancer?” And his answer was, “Yes!” I will link the presentation below and strongly encourage anyone looking to learn more about alternative or supplemental cancer treatments to watch.
Dr. Li goes on to explain in the presentation that everyone, not just someone who is sick, can benefit from eating local, sustainable, anti-angiogenic foods.
Chris Wark, author of Chris Beat Cancer and cancer survivor, also discusses this in his book. I highly recommend the read for any and all, including those who are experiencing cancer or are interested in cancer prevention.
“For diseases like cancer and others, there may be a great power in attacking their common denominator…angiogenesis.”
